Reading 3-12-18
I’m sick for the first time in a long time, and I know it’s because my energies are confused. So I decided to do a reading to see what the cards had to tell me. I pulled one Color Card, one Animal totem card, and 2 Sacred Traveler Oracle cards. Here’s what they had to tell me – and it’s a message I already knew, in my heart.
First, the color card: MAUVE (43), “Enjoy Clear Hearing.” I have pulled this card several times before. It seems like this is a message I’m just not fully understanding yet.
First of all, the number – 43 – is a base 7, which is a powerful number spiritually. 7 isn't just a lucky number. It's also spiritual, intelligent, analytical, focused, introspective, studious, intuitive, knowledgeable, contemplative, serious, persevering, refined, gracious and displays much inner wisdom.
The 7 is also associated with the Chariot Tarot card, which suggests a course of action which will harmonize what you want with what is currently possible.
The Chariot advises that you be prepared for changes that might include a move or an opportunity to travel. The Charioteer travels light and stays open to fresh experiences that change with every valley or mountain pass.
You may be asked to live out of a suitcase and consider every place your home for a while. Be receptive to new people who come into your life. Most especially, become more fluid and taste the joys of freedom. The Charioteer is nothing if not self-sufficient. Be prepared and self-contained for the changes that will sweep in and carry you with them.
The Color Mauve connects us to intuition, awakening our inspiration, expanding our spiritual awareness, and helping to release heavy, dense energies. It also creates a sense of tranquility and peace to assist with eye and ear problems (I have serious physical ear issues right now) and improve memory and concentration. It helps to release the stuckness from our ears.
So much guidance from a single card….
Next, I drew the Grouse Animal Oracle Card, which says “Express yourself through rhythm and movement by drumming and dancing.” Think about how a grouse looks in the wild. It engages in lyrical movement, drumming on the ground, dancing for its mate to bring about good fortune for the future (Ie: a pairing that leads to offspring).
Rhythmic movement and sound help bring us back to our natural selves and remind us of our time in the womb, reinforcing our connections to those around us. Connecting to these rhythms also helps us connect to our intuition and personal power. Listen to these rhythms to help connect to the natural flow that will take you in positive directions.
This card is also quite appropriate, as I have been lax about my commitment to daily dance practice in these past few weeks as life has gotten in the way. Tomorrow night, I begin a new session of movement classes, and thus this message is telling me to get off my butt and MOVE again!
The first card I drew from the Sacred Traveler Oracle Deck was the “Distant Thunder” card,” which says “Clear the air.” This card on first sight suggested I needed additional information, so I also drew the “Crossing Bridges” card, which says “It’s time for healing, connecting, mending, and releasing.”
The Distant Thunder card represents an approaching storm, whose lightning bolts and thunderous claps will startle my world into new life. It suggests that dramatic purification, renewal, and healing are occurring on multiple levels right now. It also suggests that it is time to clear clutter from my life – both figuratively and literally – which is ironic because I recently had an urge to clear out our house, and we have been actively weeding out extra things we don’t need to clear space. On an unconscious level, I have also been clearing that mental and spiritual clutter to make room for new developments and ventures. This card reassures me that rebirth is at hand.
The Distant Thunder card was paired with the “Crossing Bridges” card, which also indicates a need to let go of the past and begin a new cycle of life. This is a period where I need to forgive and let go of old wounds, resolve the unresolved, and move forward. The Sacred Traveler says, “When the traveler crosses a bridge, a new land awaits on the other side. You are ready to cross a bridge (or bridge a gap) in your life. There are times to step away from certain people and situations; there are also times to carefully mend bridges with people, situations, and places and then go forward. This is one of those powerful healing times to choose.” The card reminds me that I know what I need to do. Now is the time to do it.
Taken together, these cards are about resonating my energies to move forward into a new cycle – a cycle that has already begun, but not yet been formalized. Rebirth takes time, and I must be patient, but confident, as I move forward into this new life that I am creating with my newly awakened higher energies.
